Over the years, CTC has received numerous regular and one-off donations which have proudly supported the work of the club, sustaining our ability to deliver quality productions with creative sets and splendid costumes. We are so very lucky and grateful for contributions not only from local business but also from those that have been private and wish to remain anonymous. Current members young and old have also given up many hours of additional help to get various internal fund raising events off the ground helping us add just that little bit more to the pot.

Collectively, all donations made have allowed us not only to sustain the general day to day running of Dibble Tree but have also enabled us to progress with significant development projects with the theatre building itself.

In June 2017 we embarked upon Phase One of our latest development project ‘Next Stage’ which you can read more about HERE, along with a summary of prior development initiatives the club underwent. The Project Manager sat down one day with a member of the committee who had offered to help brainstorm some ideas about how to fund our aspirations, not least, to retain a cashflow for everything else needed to run the theatre daily. It was a big job, but, after some exhaustive discussion, it was decided the way forward was to collate our own highly accurate 'business directory' and contact each and every one explaining who we were, what we liked doing, and importantly...what we REALLY would LOVE to do with our current theatre. In order to achieve this, the business could opt to 'sponsor a seat' within our auditorium at a proposed cost which would serve as their official donation to the club; we then expanded this contact network out to family and friends of the club along with other organisations within Carnoustie.

The club would like to highlight and say a huge THANKYOU to those that have given generously by means of recent ‘seat sponsorship’ within our newly refurbished auditorium at a cost of £150.00 per seat; such generosity has fundamentally allowed us to progress and move forward.

With Phase One & Two complete, we are now actively seeking to fund Phase Three which will allow us to redesign our front entrance and Foyer area.

If you would like to 'sponsor a seat' or discuss anything else related to this initiative, please contact committee member Dave Ross.

We would like to encourage ongoing contributions from our current donors but also invite new ones; if you would like to discuss any other financial support you might be able to facilitate for the club or simply how to donate, please contact committee member Carine Soutar.

There are a couple of other ways that you might wish to engage with the club; aside from signing up to a regular membership, have you considered becoming an Honorary Member?

Honorary Membership of CTC is a great way to remain updated with everything that is happening at CTC, it is especially appropriate for those that like to attend our productions frequently because this membership type allows you to book tickets in advance and you will also receive our monthly newsletter ‘Sightline’.

You can also support us free of charge through the online website 'easyfundraising'. If you already shop at stores such as NEXT, Amazon, John Lewis, M&S, HMV, Toys’R’Us, DELL, Dixons, Expedia or Debenhams, simply use the links provided on the easyfundraising site when you shop and at no extra cost to you CTC will receive a free donation of up to 15% from every on-line purchase you make. You will need to register online at first to do this HERE, its really easy!

  'BUY A BRICK' MURAL DONATIONS

Many of you will remember the 'buy a brick' fundraiser where donors signed their names on a brick mural in the theatre auditorium prior to our refurbishment efforts. Unfortunately we found it impossible to recover the mural intact; it had been painted on plasterboard that inevitably had to be completely removed so that we could upgrade the insulation as part of Phase 1 of project 'Next Stage'. We are with a heavy heart this had to happen, because we recognise these names had links to families within our community and it was simply, a really nice spirited bit of artwork. We have considered how we might replicate the mural again located elsewhere, perhaps within the Foyer area after Phase 3 of our work is completed.

Meantime...we hope these photographs taken will help you locate your 'brick' with proud memories of your donation...
