Saturday 23rd was an important date in the local S.C.D.A calendar as it was the date of the Angus District One-Act-Play Festival.

It was an exciting and entertaining evening as the three participating teams, Glaxo, CTC and Kaims worked hard to impress the adjudicator, Brian Marjoribanks. This they did and as a result gave him a very hard job deciding who would be taking home a trophy!

When the results were finally announced we were delighted to hear that CTC had come first winning the Ian McKay Trophy and a place in the Divisional Finals. Second place and the Kay Fleming Trophy went to Kaims. Finally the Shiells Cup for best stage presentation went to CTC, so altogether a very successful evening for the club!

As there were only three teams participating only one team goes forward to the divisional finals. These will be held in Aberdeen Arts Centre on 3rd, 4th and 5th April 2008. Carnoustie will be performing “Last of the Last Mohicans” on the Saturday evening.
